Termite Inspection & Control
Termites eat wood and can cause great structural damage to your home or business. Termite colonies work 24 hours a day, and unless there are obvious signs of infestations, a termite colony can go undiscovered until serious damage is done. They feed on cellulose-based material that includes wood, books, boxes, furniture, and drywall. Our inspection and treatment program can help you understand the threat of termites and take the necessary steps to protect your property. We treat subterranean termites, drywood termites, and dampwood termites.
Termite Inspections
American City Pest & Termite will send a state-licensed inspector to thoroughly inspect your home or business. During the inspection, your home or business will be examined from top to bottom, including interior, exterior, around windows and plumbing, in the attic, and in the basement or crawl space. If there is evidence of a termite infestation or any other wood destroying organism, the inspector will recommend a customized treatment program designed for your needs. Please note that a nominal fee is charged for real estate transactions.
Termite Treatments
Based on the treatment plan we think will be most effective for your home or building, we offer the following types of treatments.
Fumigation: an all-encompassing treatment for drywood termites and the best way to ensure that all drywood termites are eradicated from your building. We complete all our fumigations with sulfuryl fluoride, also known as Vikane. Vikane is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and does not cause undesirable odors. It quickly penetrates structural materials, is effective against a variety of structural pests, and dissipates rapidly during aeration. For more information about fumigation, please visit www.fumigationfacts.com.
Spot Treatments: also known as drill and treats, is the simplest and most direct tool used to treat termites.
Wood Replacement & Repair
Our licensed crew is trained and experienced to replace termite-damaged wood.
